🌋 With all the challenges life throws at you, one of the hardest to do is to calm yourself down. To find patience when you need it the most, and be reactive to the situations that present themselves suddenly to knock you out with a right hook that will jam your brain’s nervous system! Yeah, just like that. You can try your best, but we all have our limits. What I noticed recently is that mental pressure takes a heavy tool on a person, the things you go through in the hours of the day and the energy you receive from interacting with people either uplifts you, on the spirit and energy levels, or brings you down and becomes a heavy burden to swallow.

🪈 Recently I’ve been jamming a song by Cairokee called Samurai, beat is awesome and lyrics are fun. But what resonated with me is the main verse that says, and I’m translating here, “I’m a Samurai, instead of a Sword, I play the flute”. The meaning for me here is that of peace, my music is my weapon but also it is a peaceful sword that quite the “opponent” (I don’t want to say enemy cause that’s too much of a word, you never know if you become friends one day and ‘opponent’ has an element of respect in it). Even better, if they sync in to the vibe they start dancing. And we all know how it is much more fun to dance together than alone. Hell, a party is a party when it’s a couple or more.

🌊 What’s the point of this article, simple. Writing calms me down more than anything. I needed this dosage, just like you might need it now or at some point in the future. One of my favorite quotes here is that “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor” by Franklin D Roosevelt. Welcome the ups and downs as they come, let your self feel all the emotions you are feeling, let them pass through you like water flows in caves underneath the ground. And once they pass, calm yourself down. Life’s too short, How’s it going?

“When I die I’ll be a legend

for raising a daughter,

when I’m gone I’m still apparent

the ghost of Mufasa,

When things get hairy

I’m talking Chewbacca”
